In Time of Confusion

Hi there again!

Lately, life’s been a whole question mark and entering the “adult world” is immensely challenging. So I decided to get away for the day with my family and headed to the Grounds for Sculpture, here in NJ. This garden is basically one beautiful field filled with ginormous sculptures and scenic views.  My family and I learned that the tickets needed to enter had to be purchased online or on a mobile device. So in case you are thinking of visiting, definitely purchase them online before heading there! Anyways, entering the Grounds of Sculpture was mesmerizing but I also noticed it was hotter than I thought. I was low key feeling the heat but you know #fashion.

Interesting enough while walking through the trails of this garden, I noticed there were life sized human sculptures scattered around. Which made it very hard at moments to differentiate whether they were real people or just sculptures.

Grounds For Sculptures had beautiful spots to hydrate and fill up while admiring a view.  The top image is a cafe called Van Gogh’s Cafe and it’s a recreation of  Van Gogh’s painting called Café Terrace At Night (1888). They also had an outdoor ice cream shop where they sold slushies as well.

My favorite part of the trip was being able to forget how stressful life can be but rather enjoy life’s beauty and nature. The garden allows you to get very creative with the sculptures. Especially the tall ones that made one feel like a tiny ant. ALso, FYI you will find art exhibits throughout the garden which was cool because you get a little bit of everything.

That’s all for now!

See ya later & hope you enjoyed the pictures! xD

NYC Art Galleries

FullSizeRender.jpg

Hi, babes!

Whenever I visit NYC I  typically blow my money so easily,  especially when going with friends. You simply do not know what could happen or what you’ll be spending your money on. That is why it is important if you are currently trying to save money or you’re simply short on it for the moment, that you aware your friends of your situation. It’s the best way to not waste more money than you have to and avoid being placed in awkward situations. One of the many reasons why I love NYC is because while there may be many amazing things to do that consist paying. There are numerous activities to do for FREE as well, and currently, I have found a new activity to add to my list. As the art lover that I am, art museums are kind of my thing and if it’s your thing too! Then you’ll love to know that in Chelsea, NY, there are tons of art galleries for people to freely go in. I spent most of the time visiting gallery after gallery, which my friend and I ended up calling “gallery hopping”. We then decided to go on the High Line, also FREE *wink wink*, but sadly we had gone on a rainy day making our trip quite short. Overall, our day was lovely in the midst of the rainstorm and FYI we visited around 10 galleries and there were a lot more to see! So next time you are visiting NYC and you have no idea what to do, try visiting art galleries! Take artsy pictures with your friends or simply capture the beautiful interior designs of these art galleries!

A preview of what you could find inside these art galleries:

  • Metro Pictures Gallery (4th pic.)

*Fun fact: most of these art galleries are all near each other, so you’ll have no issue getting lost or having to walk far from each gallery to find the next one*

Hope you enjoyed this & if you guys would want me to do more posts like this let me know!

Catch you wonderful people in my next post

Bubble Jacket- Season

Ever since I watched the Balenciaga Fall Winter 16/17 fashion show and laid my eyes on the oversized quilted shell jacket. I instantly fell in love with the “bubble jacket” look and knew it was a jacket that I would get a lot of use out of. As the broke college student that I am, I opted for this H&M that was a perfect fit. Usually, when it comes to oversized clothing pieces and my body type it can be quite tricky. Although, I may look like a giant marshmallow as my mom likes to call it. I am in love with it and it has become one of my “go-to” jackets this winter. Many of us (including myself) have trouble staying stylish and warm at the same time. Here in NJ when it gets cold, it gets cold! Therefore I have found that big puffy coats are essential during the cold season.

I wanted to keep the jacket as the main focus of my outfit, so I paired it with basics:

  • Mom Jeans- Hollister
  • Turtle Neck- Thrift
  • Sneakers- Vans

Talk to you all soon!
